BT Thompson, Founder / National Scout
An industry leader with thirty-three years of recruiting and coaching experience. After an injury-plagued cup-of-cofee with the SD Chargers, Detroit Drive and Albany Firebirds - BT began developing athletes in 1992 in Dallas, TX. In 1993 he returned to California and added a recruiting component to help under-recruited student-athletes get to the next level. Thousands of athletes have benefitted from his expert advice and teachings and moved on to play college ball.
BT is the patriarch of the Sacramento, California based Thompson Family. Nine from the immediate family moved on to play college ball with four reaching the pro ranks. Most notables, BT's oldest son Peyton Thompson (San Jose State), played six years in the NFL and finished with the Jacksonville Jaguars. Nephew Syd'Quan Thompson was a 3X HS All-American (Grant HS); 3X college All-American (Cal) and was drafted by the Denver Broncos. Syd'Quan's youngest brother Shaq was also a 3X HS All-American (Grant HS); 2X college All-American (Washington); Paul Hornung Award Winner; Heisman Trophy candidate and a 1st round pick of the Carolina Panthers. Nephew Marcus Thompson Jr. is the lone college hoopster of the family as he spent two seasons sharp-shooting for the Adams State Grizzlies.
